Terms of Service
Last updated:June 4, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kin Tiam. The service is operated by an individual developer ("we", "us"), providing a multi-tenant QR ordering service (the "Service"). By using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service is a cloud-based, multi-tenant QR code ordering system that helps merchants build menus, generate table QR codes, and receive and manage orders. Customers can scan a code to browse the menu and place orders without registering or installing an app.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must provide accurate, complete registration information and keep your credentials secure. You must be of legal age to enter into a contract and are responsible for all activity under your account.
Manager/staff accounts are granted by the tenant owner, who manages their permissions.
3. Subscriptions & payment
The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. ("Paddle") acting as the Merchant of Record, including collection, taxes and invoicing. Your payment details are handled by Paddle; we do not store your full card data.
Subscriptions renew automatically each period unless cancelled before renewal. Prices and plan contents are those shown at checkout.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to infringe others’ rights, to upload malicious code, to attempt unauthorized access, or to interfere with normal operation of the Service.
Content you post (menus, products, images) must be lawful and non-infringing, and is your responsibility.
5. Merchant responsibilities
As a merchant, you are responsible for transactions with your own customers, food quality, fulfilment, food safety and compliance with local regulations. We provide software tools only and are not a party to those transactions.
You must handle the personal data of customers you collect in accordance with applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The software, interface, trademarks and related content of the Service are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use the Service during your subscription. You retain rights to content you upload.
7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages; our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. Upon termination your access ends; data retention and deletion follow the Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), with the courts of Taiwan as the court of first instance.
The Service is offered worldwide; the foregoing does not affect mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under your local law that cannot be excluded by contract.
10. Changes to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time and will post the updated date on this page. Material changes will be notified by reasonable means. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
